Buttermilk

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups plain yogurt (preferably homemade or organic)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together plain yoghurt and water until smooth and well combined. Add roasted cumin powder, black pepper powder, grated fresh ginger, and Himalayan pink salt to the yoghurt mixture. Mix well. Chill the buttermilk in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to enhance the flavours. Before serving, garnish with fresh cilantro leaves. Stir well before serving and pour into glasses.
